A rental car is optional if you are staying in Beaver Creek as most things are within walking distance and there are complimentary shuttles available on demand. You must download the "Village Connect" app to book a ride.

However, if you would like to drive to and from the airport or do sightseeing outside the village, a car is recommended. Ubers and Lyfts are extremely limited in the area. Keep in mind if you choose to get a rental car, parking fees typically apply at the hotels. Day parking at the Beaver Creek resort is free, but there is a charge for overnight parking.

Beaver Creek sits at about 8,000 feet above sea level. Altitude may or may not affect you, but hydration is incredibly important. If you are having trouble getting acclimated, you can buy oxygen cans around the area and many of the hotel spas will have oxygen bars. We will also be providing oxygen cans for our guests upon arrival to the area to help you acclimate.

The weather is typically sunny with clear skies! Expect warm days (temperatures range from the 70s up to the 80s) and cooler nights (temperatures will usually be in the 50s). When visiting the mountains, it is recommended to dress in layers as the weather can change quickly, especially in the afternoon.

We recommend bringing your hiking shoes and taking advantage of the beautiful fall colors that will be on display this time of year.
